Serve Meaningfully: Volunteer Opportunities at Central Baptist Church

We can each make a difference to the Kingdom of God through the use of our gifts and our time. Listed below are many different ministry teams that would welcome your gift of service.

The first group of opportunities are positions that are being featured for this season, for those of you who do not want to read through all opportunities to find a place to serve, this is a great place to start. The opportunities that follow list active teams according to our ministry areas.

Positions requiring special training are marked with an asterisk (*) and the area leader will be glad to provide you information on the training opportunities available.

There are many ways to sign up to serve on a ministry team:

Top 10 Volunteer Opportunities at Central Baptist Church
Spring 2008

Building Cleaner — works with others to complete special cleaning projects around the church building.

Evangelism Team - helps those of us in the church build the kind of relationships with other people that lead them towards a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Offering Counter - meets on Monday mornings and works with a team member to count and record the offering from Sunday.

Sound/Media Technician - operates the sound system and coordinates the media display during worship services and special events.

Special Offering Promoter - works with a team to promote special mission offerings.

Stewardship team - works with others to coordinate and encourage church members to share and make good use of God’s resources.

Transportation Assistant - available to provide rides to those in need to and from church on Sundays, Wednesday evenings or other church events.

Van Driver - picks up or delivers the JOY class home on Sunday mornings.

Wednesday night meal cooks, host/hostess, clean-up helpers

Welcome Center greeters - greets visitors in the welcome center area and provides information and direction to church activities and locations.
