Small Groups at Central

What is a small group? A small group at Central Baptist Church is a group of 4 to 10 people who gather in community on a regular basis with a trained leader to intentionally discover and express more of God’s will for their lives.

The following is a list of small groups through Central Baptist Church.

Leader: Allen, Wade
This group meets Monday evenings. The group is intended for young adults in their twenties. The focus of the group is relationship building and spiritual growth. The group uses books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leader: Baker, Rosemary
This group meets Thursday mornings twice each month in Rosemary and Harold’s home. The group is currently full, but we wanted you to be aware of the group. The focus of the group is relationship building and spiritual growth. The group uses books, video media, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leaders: Joyce, Kathy and Matheson, Carol
This group (known as "In Community") meets on a Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Weber Lounge. This monthly meeting will be used for a short devotion, relationship building and mission planning. The focus of the group is living out Christ's call to missions in Springfield. The group will discover needs in our community and assist in fulfilling those needs in Jesus' name. Currently this group has decided to involve our church family in assisting feeding the hungry in Springfield and surrounding community. The group is working closely with the Kumler Food Pantry and assisting the growth of their food, clothing, and medicine pantries through the "First Sunday" program here at Central. The motto of this small group is "First We Feed, Clothe, and Care For."

This group meets on Thursday evenings. The group is intended for adults of all ages. The focus of the group will be relationship building and spiritual growth. The group will use books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leaders: Law, Dave and Theresa
This home group meets weekly on Thursday evening. The group is intended for adults of all ages. The focus of the group will be relationship building and spiritual growth. The group will use books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leaders: Miles, Brett and Pat
This home group will meet twice each month on Tuesday or Thursday evening. The group is intended for adults of all ages. The focus of the group will be relationship building and spiritual growth. The group will use books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leader: Mills, Judi
This group is designed for spiritual growth and relationship building, while helping people from other nations improve their use of English as a second language. If you are interested in serving Christ and growing spiritually and you enjoy getting to know people from other parts of the world, this is the group for you. The group will meet monthly for fellowship and prayer and as needed for those individuals receiving help with English.

Leader: Mills, Reg
This group meets on Thursday mornings. The group is intended for adults of all ages. The focus of the group will be relationship building and spiritual growth. The group will use books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible.

Leader: Sharp, Mary Ellen
This group will meet weekly on Tuesday at noon. The group is intended for adult women. The focus of the group will be relationship building and spiritual growth. The group will use books, movies, and other resources to assist in studying the Bible. Members may bring a bag lunch.
